When Faith Feels Heavy: Rebuilding Your Faith in Ministry

This group is for women who are:

• Serving in ministry or missions and feeling more exhausted than fulfilled
• Caring deeply for others while quietly feeling unsupported themselves
• Carrying guilt, pressure, or fear of not doing or being enough
• Feeling disconnected from their faith
• Longing for a more grounded, honest, and sustainable relationship with God

I know from experience how difficult and lonely these experiences can be. During my time serving in the Middle East, I found myself asking:

“How do I genuinely share God’s love with others when I’m struggling to even believe He loves me?”

That tension is part of what led me to begin thinking more deeply about what it means to have a faith that is both emotionally honest and spiritually grounded.

This group is designed to help you move toward that kind of faith—one that makes space for your emotions, your story, and your relationship with God.

Together, we’ll explore what it looks like to rediscover God’s care and delight in you personally, while also learning how to navigate difficulty without simply white-knuckling our way through.

You’ll be invited to reflect on your experiences with greater clarity, while also developing a renewed sense of hope and a more resilient, sustainable way of moving forward.

About Your Facilitator

Hi, I'm Zab Jernigan.

I'm in my final year of a Master's in Clinical Counseling, and supporting women through hard seasons is one of my greatest passions in life. I've had the privilege of facilitating groups for women navigating painful experiences — including betrayal and its impact on faith and identity — and I've seen firsthand how much can healing can come through these spaces.

I would love to be a part of your journey. If you have any questions before registering, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Take a look at the FAQ or reach out anytime. If you’re feeling ready, go ahead and register!

  • No. This is a coaching and educational group focused on growth, reflection, and developing practical tools. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

  • That’s completely okay. This group is designed specifically for women who are currently serving, as well as those who have recently served.

  • You don’t need to have everything figured out to join. This group is a space to explore honestly and move toward greater clarity.

  • You’ll be invited to engage in simple reflection between sessions to help you apply what you’re learning. This is optional and designed to be manageable.

  • Sessions will not be recorded in order to protect the privacy and confidentiality of all group members. Out of respect for the group experience, participants are asked to commit to attending all 6 sessions. We understand that life happens — one absence can be accommodated, but more than one missed session may affect your ability to continue in the group.

  • You’re welcome to reach out with any questions before signing up. We’re happy to help you discern if this group would be helpful for you.
